Iqraa Course (Beginner)

This course is designed for complete beginners. Students first learn to recognize and read the Arabic alphabet and basic words using the Noorani Qaidah. Once they master the letters and sounds, they begin reciting short verses from the Quran with proper pronunciation.

Hafiz Ulquran has years of experience teaching Noorani Qaidah online to both children and adults. Learning through this booklet is simple and effective, and upon completing it, students are able to read the Quran fluently—at a pace that suits their learning style. Every student progresses at their own speed, and our teachers ensure they build confidence in reading.

The Noorani Qaidah course starts by teaching individual letters and their sounds, then gradually advances to forming words and short verses. By the end, students develop the ability to read the Quran independently, In-Shaa-Allah.

Below is the brief course outline for learning Noorani Qaidah online:

  • The Arabic alphabet & their proper pronunciation
  • Consonants
  • Short vowels (harakat)
  • Long vowels (huroof madd)

Tilawa Course / Full Quran Reading (Intermediate)

In this course, students learn to recite the Quran by reading directly from the Mushaf while applying the rules of Tajweed. It is designed for those who have already completed a beginner’s reading course. Students will read selected portions of the Quran, and the teacher will provide corrections while reviewing the Tajweed rules learned in the Noorani Qaidah course.

During this level, students complete Juz Amma (30) and Juz Tabarak (29) as preparation for advancing to the Hifz (memorization) course, if they choose. After mastering chapters 30 and 29, the teacher guides students through reading the entire Quran, starting from Surah Al-Fatihah to Surah An-Nas, once with Tajweed.

Note:
Students also memorize 25 short surahs (from Surah An-Nas to Surah Al-Fajr), which are essential for performing Salah. Memorization is done during class with the teacher, and no additional homework is required.

Hifz / Memorization Course (Advanced)

This course is designed for students who are already proficient in Quran reading and wish to memorize portions—or the entirety—of the Quran. Entry to this course may require a proficiency test to assess the student’s reading skills and familiarity with Tajweed rules.

Tafsir Integration:
Each student is required to have a copy of Tafsir Ibn Katheer. Before starting memorization, the teacher will review the meaning of the ayat with the student to ensure deeper understanding and connection to the text.

How to Memorize the Quran Online

Memorizing the Quran is both a spiritual journey and a disciplined effort. It is a divine blessing from Allah (SWT) to be able to commit the Quran to memory. To fully benefit from this gift, students must combine spiritual dedication with consistent practice and physical effort.

The Memorization Procedure

  1. New Memorization (New Lesson):
The number of new verses or pages assigned for memorization each day.

  2. Newly Memorized Portion (Sabaqi):
This includes the verses memorized over the past 20–30 days. Reviewing this section is essential to make the memorized verses firm and lasting.

  3. Old Memorization Portion:
This section consists of all previously memorized portions that have been revised for at least 20–30 days consecutively. The amount reviewed depends on the total Quran memorized. Once a student completes memorizing the Quran, they will focus solely on revision, as maintaining the memorization is a lifelong responsibility.

Hifz Strategy

  • Initial Stage: Students spend 30 minutes per day with the teacher until two parts (ajza’) are memorized.

  • Progress Stage: Class time increases to 60 minutes per day, 5 days per week.

  • Home Preparation: Students dedicate 60–120 minutes at home in divided sessions to review and prepare lessons.

  • Completion Timeline: On average, students complete memorization in 3 years, though this varies depending on individual pace and commitment.

Note: About 80% of the memorization (Hifz) is completed with the teacher during class time. Students only need to review and solidify their lessons at home before the next session.
